As every year on the first Saturday in June, the World Quizzing Championships took place on June 6. This decentralized event, organized under the auspices of the International Quizzing Association, is hosted in Switzerland by the SQV. This year, the event was part of a full-day program in Lucerne, featuring the SQV General Assembly, a team quiz, and the WQC as the grand finale. Of the 1,972 participants worldwide, 15 represented Switzerland.

Prakhar Gupta leads the Swiss rankings for the seventh consecutive time, and for the sixth consecutive time, he placed in the top 100. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

At the very top, Victoria Groce (USA), who had already won in 2024, reclaimed the quiz crown. Lander Frederickx and Tom Trogh (both from Belgium) followed in second and third place.
