Quiz
The Swiss Quiz Association is proud to organise quiz evenings twice a month and to be able to offer you a variety of quizzes. The following quizzes are currently on offer:

Online quiz league
We launched our first online quiz league in January 2021. Over 100 members now regularly take part in the league. They are divided into national leagues A, B and C, as well as 1st league and 2nd league A quiz consists of 20-30 questions, each with 4 possible answers. You have a maximum of 30 seconds per question. Points are awarded for correct answers, additional points for quick answers and several correct answers in a row. The quizzes can be played in German or English. The game is played on quizizz.com. Twice a week we send out a link to the current quiz. The quizzes can be played independently within two to three days.An up-to-date table is sent out after each round. A season lasts eight rounds, i.e. four weeks. After eight rounds, players are promoted to the next higher league or relegated to the next lower league.
SwissQuiz
The SwissQuiz is the centrepiece of our own ranking quiz, which is held eight times a year. The SwissQuiz consists of 100 questions, which are asked in German/English and divided as evenly as possible between the eight topics of the International Quizzing Association (IQA) (see below). Some of the questions are always related to Switzerland. The questions are handed out in writing and the participants have 50 minutes to answer them individually. The player with the most points receives the maximum number of points for the Swiss quiz ranking.

In October 2022, a SwissQuiz was played as the official Swiss championship set. You can play this quiz for free here:

Around the world in 80 questions
From time to time, the Austrian Quiz Association's Around the world in 80 questions quiz is held as a English/German-language quiz instead of the SwissQuiz. The quiz consists of 80 questions, which are asked in German. Here too, all IQA topics are represented as evenly as possible. The special thing about this quiz is that the answer to each question is always the name of a country and each country only appears once in the entire quiz. The questions are handed out in writing and the participants have 50 minutes to answer them individually. The player with the most points receives the maximum number of points for the Swiss quiz ranking.
Hot100
As the official organiser, the Swiss Quiz Association also offers all quiz players the opportunity to take part in the IQA's international world ranking tournament once a month. The questions come from the IQA and the Swiss Quiz Association, as the organiser, then has two weeks to hold the tournament. In this tournament, 100 questions, which are asked in English, have to be answered in writing within 50 minutes. The answers can also be in German/French. The player with the most points receives the maximum number of points for the Swiss quiz ranking.
Squizzed
Squizzed is an international quiz series from Croatian quiz master Dean Kotiga. The concept is modelled on that of the Hot100. The Swiss Quiz Association also has a certain period of time from the date of issue to carry out the quiz and all results are also summarised in an international ranking list in which the best quiz players in the world compete. In this tournament, 101 questions, which are asked in English, must be answered in writing within 60 minutes. The answers can also be in German. The player with the most points receives the maximum number of points for the Swiss quiz ranking.
Open Series
There are various quiz associations around the world that organise a so-called Open once a year. This is an international quiz that is offered to all other quiz associations to play along with. The questions are international and usually categorised in a similar way to the IQA categories. The number of questions varies depending on the association, but is usually between 180 and 240 questions - similar to the World Championship. This year, the Swiss Quiz Association is offering the Irish Open, the Croatian Open, the Serbian Open, the Austrian Open, the Zadar Open and the Norwegian Open.
